Synopsis/Information:
We recommend that, people those who are away from India and their families. Must watch this film.
A retired widower, Arvind, lives all by himself in Pune and is asked by his children to move to the US to live with them. As he begins to pack, he comes across various things that bring back old memories.ike most of Gajendra Ahire's films, This film has an underlying message that is conveyed through the story of its characters. In this case, Ahire relies on veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar to convey the message.
As Arvind, Prabhavalkar embodies the emotions of a widower who misses his late wife and that of a father who awaits a visit from his NRI kids and grandchildren. His daily routine is simple- wake up, go for a walk, return and have his meals, rest and speak to his sons and their families on video call. He has a caring doctor Meghna (Bapat) and a house help Tukaram (Kadam) to care for him. Despite all this, his soul yearns for company and keeps reminiscing about his past. He even engages his grandchildren in stories from the past. Though initially uninterested, he takes a call to go to his sons. Things start to change then.
The story of This film is pretty linear with occasional flashbacks. The actors deliver well. Prabhavalkar is authentic and brilliant as Arvind. He single-handedly takes the film a few notches higher. Priya Bapat as his doctor is sincere and balanced. The other supporting actors are perfect in their roles too.
This film demands a patient watch. There are no sudden twists or ups and downs. But Ahire weaves a beautiful film for viewers who are interested in watching something beautiful unfold onscreen. The film is a definitely worth a watch.
